Nestr was created to offer visitors an anonymous, address independent way to broadcast hyper-accurate locations very quickly. Nestr never requires registration or any personal information to use its service.
We built Nestr so people can share meaningful experiences around a very specific location. We think of it as the fastest way to send people highly accurate locations via SMS, Twitter or email. Nestr is about hyper-local, hyper-current, anonymous information. Other services like Google Latitude, Brightkite and Loopt are about where you are currently, and sharing this with a closed set of friends. Nestr doesn't roll that way. The way we look at it: its all about what you've done or what you are about to do. Its about collecting cool media content like YouTube videos, Facebook Streams and other embeddable content and mapping it to a very precise location. We believe that not all great locations have a specific address, that is why we let Nestr users zoom, click, and drag markers around so they can pinpoint any location up to 5ft. Nestr keeps it simple.
